The scope presented unique technical challenges due to the heavy weight of large format natural marble slabs, complex mitred edge requirements, and the necessity to seamlessly align intricate stone veining across multiple adjoining planes. Through careful digital templating, expert hand-finishing, and rigorous on-site installation, the project achieved a sophisticated, monolithic aesthetic that elevates the entire residence.

Project Overview and Client Objectives

The homeowners set out to complete a comprehensive interior overhaul, aiming to blend contemporary minimal design with timeless organic textures. Natural marble was selected as the hero material across the property due to its unique character, depth of tone, and durability when properly finished and maintained.

The primary focus areas included:

The main challenge was executing a seamless transition between the existing timber and metal framing installed during the structural phase and the raw, heavy natural stone elements. Every surface needed to look effortless, hiding the massive structural support systems required behind the scenes.

Technical Design and Preparation Phase

Before any stone cutting began, our team executed a meticulous spatial audit and digital laser scan of the site. Natural marble possesses inherent geological traits such as natural movement, veining directional flow, and subtle tonal shifts between slabs.
